The white grape variety (also Vernaccia Bianca) comes from Italy. It is one of the many varieties with Vernaccia in its name. It should not be confused with the Bianchetta Trevigiana (with synonym Vernaccia Trentina), despite the fact that the synonyms seem to indicate it. The variety was formerly widespread in northern Italy in Trentino. However, no stocks were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
