The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Leverone, Livido, Melantoneca, Sorvigno, Verdone Verdone di Bari and Verdone di Siena. Nothing is known about the parentage (parentage) or if there is a relationship to the red variety Verdone Nero. In 2016, no stock was reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
