The white grape variety originates from Spain and is cultivated in the La Mancha and Manchuela areas. In Wine Grapes it is listed as an independent grape variety. Kym Anderson 's statistics still show 2,124 hectares in 2010, but in 2016 no more stock was recorded. Presumably it is the variety Pardillo (with synonym Verdoncho).
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
