DOCG area (Matelica Riserva since 2020) for white wine in the Italian Marche region. The Riserva version of the Verdicchio di Matelica was highly classified in 2010. The zone covers around 300 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Cerreto d'Esi and Fabriano (province of Ancona), as well as the municipalities of Camerino, Castelraimondo, Esanatoglia, Gagliole, Matelica and Pioraco (province of Macerata). In addition, certain vineyards or vigna can be listed on the label. These are Cambrugiano, Colferraio, La Monacesca, La Valle, Mistriano, Sainale, Santa Teresola, Valbona and Vinano (Matelica), Collamato (Fabriano), as well as Del Cerro, Fogliano and San Leopardo (Cerreto d'Esi).
