Verdicchio

The white grape variety (also Barbarossa Toscana) originates from Italy. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, the pink-berried vine originates from a presumably natural cross between Sciaccarello (Mammolo) x unknown partner. Whether there is a possible genetic relationship to the white-berry variety Verdicchio Bianco is also unknown. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
