The white grape variety is a new cross between Furmint x Malvasia Istriana (Malvazija Istarska). Synonyms or breeding numbers are Dalmasso 2-26, I.D. 2/26 and Incroccio Dalmasso II/26. The cross was made in 1937 in Conegliano (Veneto) by the Italian grower Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). The early-ripening vine produces straw-yellow, aromatic white wines. It is cultivated in Veneto. In 2016, 27 hectares of vineyards were recorded (Kym Anderson).
