The white grape variety (also Valveirinho) is a new cross between Vital x Alvarinho. The cross was made in Portugal by the breeder José João Ferreira de Almeida. The variety is grown in tiny quantities in the Norte region and on the island of Madeira. In 2016, 0.3 hectares of vineyards were designated (Kym Anderson statistics).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
