Subzone in the DOCG area Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco; see there.

DOCG area for sparkling wines (Spumante), semi-sparkling wines (Frizzante) and still wines (Tranquillo) in the Italian region of Veneto. The former DOC area was highly qualified in 2009. The former IGT area Prosecco was classified as DOC area in this context. Alternatively, the names Conegliano Prosecco or Valdobbiadene Prosecco are also allowed on the label, which is mostly used by producers from the two municipalities, also because of local pride. By the way, in 2019 the whole Prosecco area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the category "cultural landscape"
