DOC area (also Vald d'Arno di Sopra) for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Tuscany. The zone, classified since 2011, includes the municipalities of Bucine, Castel Piandiscò, Castiglion Fibocchi, Cavriglia, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Laterina, Loro Ciuffenna, Montevarchi, Pergine Valdarno, San Giovanni Valdarno and Montevarchi in the province of Arezzo. There are also two subzones. These are Pietraviva (DOC area until 2010) with the municipalities of Bucine, Cavriglia, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Montevarchi, Pergine Valdarno and San Giovanni Valdarno, and Pratomagno with the municipalities of Castelfranco Piandiscò, Castiglion Fibocchi, Laterina, Loro Ciuffenna, Pian di Sco and Terranuova Bracciolini. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna may be indicated followed by the vineyard name.
