Union Champagne

The cooperative, which has its headquarters in Avize (Marne department), is one of the major renowned champagne producers. Its approximately 1,800 members cultivate a total of 1,200 hectares of vineyards, including the best Chardonnay sites on the Côte des Blancs. Well over half of the production is sold as must or wine to other wineries. 10 million bottles of are produced annually. Around 2.5 of these are sold under the names of various cooperative members. Another 1.5 million are marketed under the brand names "De-Saint-Gall" and "Cuvée Orpale". The latter is among the best Blanc de Blancs champagnes (Chardonnay).
