The winery is located in the municipality of Frickenhausen-Linsenhofen (Remstal-Stuttgart area) in the German wine growing region of Württemberg
. It is owned by Hedwig and Helmut Dolde, who is a biology and chemistry teacher at a Filderstadt grammar school in his main profession. The vineyards cover 1.5 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard location of Schloßsteige (Neuffen) on the edge of the Swabian Alb. The vineyard is situated at up to 528 metres above sea level and is one of the highest vineyards
in Germany. The varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are cultivated. In addition to wines, noble brandies, sparkling wines and bottle-varied sparkling wines are also produced.
