Übigberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Altenahr in the German wine-growing region of Ahr. It is divided into six separate areas stretching from Altenahr to Pützfeld. Only a small part in the Altenahr area is still farmed. The areas of Ahrbogen, Altenburg and Langfigtal lie fallow and can only be recognised by the almost completely overgrown vineyard walls. Of the total 32 hectares, only one hectare is currently cultivated. The south-facing areas at 150 to 240 metres above sea level consist of greywacke and slate weathered soils. They are 70% planted with Pinot Noir, as well as Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder and Riesling.
