Übigberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Altenahr in the German wine-growing region of the Ahr. It is divided into six separate areas stretching from Altenahr to Pützfeld. Only a small part in the Altenahr area is still under cultivation. The Ahrbogen, Altenburg and Langfigtal areas lie fallow and can now only be recognised by the vineyard walls, which are almost completely overgrown. Of the total 32 hectares, only one hectare is currently under cultivation. The south-facing plots, situated at an altitude of 150 to 240 metres above sea level, consist of weathered greywacke and slate soils. They are planted with Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder and Riesling.
