The white grape variety is a new breed between Macabeo x Sultana. It was crossed at the CSIRO Plant Industry Institute in Merbein-Australia by breeder A. J. Antcliff. The variety was created especially for the climatic conditions in Australia. It is also cultivated in France, Italy and South Africa.
