In southwest Germany and Switzerland common name for the pressing of grapes. Trotte is the mechanical press (originally the tree press), Trottenkammer the pressing room or pressing cellar. In South Tyrol the name Torggel (Torkel) is common for this. See also the section on wine-growing customs.
