This white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Concord x Chasselas Musqué. Synonyms are Albans, Bai Xiang Qiao, Campbell 6, Campbell's Concord, Campbell's Seedling N. 6, Hybrid de Concord N. 6, Joslyn's Albans, Jossling St. Albans and Yoslins Sains Albans. Genes of the American species Vitis labrusca and the European Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed in Ohio/USA by the breeder George W. Campbell (1817-1898). Two open-pollinated seedlings are Early Golden and Governor Ross. The vine is used as a winepress and table grape. It was subsequently a crossing partner in about 70 new varieties, such as Bailey, Hexamer, Jifeng, Roi des Blancs, Rommel and Urbana, as well as numerous Seibel varieties. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
