Behind the association "TRIAS - Terroir, Passion, Enjoyment" are five vintners from the German growing region Franconia, who see themselves as a quality alliance. The name is derived from the geological era, which caused the rock formations mottled sandstone, shell limestone and keuper to develop in Franconia 225 million years ago. The goal of the TRIAS vintners is to vinify dry wines of the highest quality that are characterized by their terroir and to market them under this name. These wines correspond to the Grossen Gewächsen according to the VDP. The members are Paul Fürst from the Fürst Rudolf winery (Bürgstadt), Robert Haller from the Fürst Löwenstein winery (Kreuzwertheim), Johann Ruck (Iphofen), Karl Martin Schmitt from the Schmitts Kinder winery (Randersacker) and Armin Störrlein (Randersacker).
