IGT area (Landweine) for white, red and rosé wines in the Italian regions Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige (the Trentino part) and Veneto. The former IGT area Delle Venezie was classified as DOC in 2016, so a renaming took place. It comprises 2,100 hectares of vineyards in the three regions mentioned above. Authorised grape varieties may be used in the regions. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. Dual-varietal wines are produced from at least 50 to 85% of the main grape variety and a maximum of 15 to 50% of other varieties. Depending on the type of wine, a minimum alcohol content is prescribed, but no maturation period.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
