DOC area for white wines in the Italian region of Abruzzo. The zone includes hilly areas in 174 municipalities in the provinces of Chieti (60), L'Aquila (37), Pescara (39) and Teramo (38). The wine is blended from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and/or Trebbiano Toscano and/or Bombino Bianco (to 85%), as well as other authorised varieties such as Cococciola (max. 15%). There are also Superiore and Riserva versions. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, the designation Vigna followed by the vineyard name is possible.
