The winery is located next to the municipality of Manacor on the Balearic main island of Mallorca. It was founded in 1980. Initially, the wines were only produced for the estate's own consumption and were only distributed from 1993 onwards. The vineyards cover five hectares in the DO area Plà i Llevant. The red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Callet, Manto Negro, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah are cultivated, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Viura (Macabeo), Muscat Blanc, Moll (Prensal) and Riesling. The Espaldera system is used, in which the vines are pulled on support devices. The average yield per vine is two to three kg. Biodynamic viticulture is practised. Only organic products are used for fertilisation. Fermentation is temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks. The red wines mature between 12 and 15 months in new French and American barriques. The white wines made from Chardonnay and the white Torre des Canonge also mature for three months in barriques. Around 22,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
