Tinta da Melra

The red grape variety originates from Portugal. Synonyms are Melra and Tinta Melra. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2020, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Marufo x Touriga Nacional. It is grown in small quantities in the Portuguese regions Centro and Norte. In 2016, 0.6 hectares of vines were declared (Kym Anderson).
