The red grape variety originates from Hungary. The parentage is unknown. Nothing is known about possible genetic relationships with the white varieties Szekszárdi (Tihany Kék). Szeredi (Tihanyi Kék) or Tihanyi is not known. It is grown in tiny quantities in the Etyek-Buda area. In 2016, 0.1 hectare of vineyard was designated (Kym Anderson).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
