The Golden Queen

The white grape variety is a new breed between Black Alicante x Ferdinand de Lesseps. Synonyms are Formosa, Huang Jin Hou and Pearson Golden Queen. The crossing was made in England in 1876 by J. Pearson. The variety is used as a winepress and table grape. She was a crossing partner in the new varieties Aurora (2) and Black Queen. No stocks were reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
