IGT area (Land wines) for white, red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Sicily. It includes all vineyards in the region or on the island. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. Cuvées of two, three or four varieties (except Grillo) must each contain at least 15% of the respective varieties; other varieties are not permitted. For the wines, a minimum alcohol content is prescribed differently for each wine type, but no maturation periods.
