DOC area for red wine and rosé wine in the Italian region of Basilicata. The zone includes all vineyards up to a maximum altitude of 800 metres above sea level in the three municipalities of Grumento Nova, Moliterno and Viggiano in the province of Potenza. The Rosso (also as Riserva) is blended from Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and other approved varieties (max. 20%). The Rosato is made from Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%), Malvasia Nera di Basilicata (10%) and other authorised non-aromatic varieties (max. 20%).
