A frequently used part of the name of a grape variety in Portugal, which often leads to confusion and confusion due to the same synonyms. There are the following independent varieties:

The Terrantez da Madeira variety is the "real" Terrantez variety. It used to be widespread on Madeira, but is now only used in small quantities for the dessert wine of the same name.
