DOC area for white wines, red wines and rosé wines in the Italian region of Puglia. The zone includes all the municipalities of the provinces of Brindisi, Lecce and Taranto. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard.
The Bianco (also called Spumante) is made from Chardonnay (zum. 75%). Rosso (also as Riserva) and Rosato are produced from Negroamaro and/or Primitivo = Tribidrag and/or Malvasia Nera di Brindisi (Malvasia Nera di Lecce) and/or Malvasia Nera di Basilicata (to. 75%). Rosato Frizzante and Rosato Spumante must consist of at least 70% Negroamaro.
