Teroldego Rotaliano

DOC area for red wine and rosé wine in Trentino, the southern part of the Italian double region Trentino-Alto Adige It is located at the confluence of the rivers Adige (Adige) and Noce. The zone includes the municipalities of Mezzocorona and Mezzolombardo, and the Grumo district in the municipality of San Michele all'Adige in the province of Trento. The vineyards, described as "the most beautiful in Europe", cover 422 hectares of vineyards and lie on sandy, calcareous soil over layers of gravel. The vines are traditionally trained on pergolas. Rosso, Rubino and Kretzer (Rosato) are made from Teroldego grapes. There is also a Superiore and a Superiore Riserva. An IGP wine Vigneti delle Dolomiti, which is also 100% Teroldego, is marketed as Novello just four weeks after the grape harvest.
