Popular single vineyard appellation in Germany. In addition to the four described in detail below, there are also single vineyard sites of this name in the municipalities or growing areas of Bretzfeld, Dimbach, Hertmannsweiler, Langenbeutingen (all Württemberg), Krum (Franconia), Schwabbach, Siebeneich (Württemberg), St. Aldegund (Mosel), Stettfeld (Baden), Waldbach (Württemberg) and Zeutern (Baden).

Graach - Moselle (Bernkastel)

The name is derived from a Celtic term for "small hill". Only later did this become a Christian meaning. It also symbolizes the high and exposed location. The current size did not result until 1922, when a consolidation from 70 to only 16 vineyard names took place. The south-facing vineyards at an altitude of 110 to 260 meters above sea level with a slope of 50 to 65% cover 57 hectares of vineyards. The medium-textured, stony clay-slate weathered soils are partly interspersed with blue slate.
