The winery is located in Tsinandali (near Telavi) in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The formerly state-owned company was founded in 1997 as a private enterprise. Until 2005, Teliani was purely a winery with purchased grapes, but in that year it planted its own vineyards for the first time. The product range includes wines from the PDO areas Achascheni, Kindzmarauli, Khvanchkara, Manavi, Mukuzani, Napareuli, Tsinandali and Tvishi. The red wine varieties Saperavi, Ojaleshi, Mujuteruli, Aleksandrouli and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the white wine varieties Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Chinuri and Tsolikouri are processed. Sparkling wines, brandies and pomace brandies (chacha) are also produced.
