Tavoliere delle Puglie

DOC area (also Tavoliere) for red and rosé wine in the Italian region of Puglia. The zone includes the municipalities of Apricena, Ascoli Satriano, Bovino, Cerignola, Foggia, Lucera, Manfredonia, Ordona, Orsara di Puglia, Orta Nova, San Severo, San Paolo Civitate, Stornara, Stornarella, Torremaggiore and Troia in the province of Foggia, and Barletta, San Ferdinando di Puglia and Trinitapoli in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the name of the vineyard can be indicated on the label.

Rosso and Rosato are produced from Nero di Troia (65%) and other authorised varieties (max. 35%). The Nero di Troia (also called Riserva) must contain at least 90% of the variety.
