The white grape variety comes from Greece. Synonyms are Kourou Tachtas, Kour-Tachtas and Kurutachtias. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It is also used as a table grape and for the production of raisins. The variety is cultivated in Crete and Macedonia, as well as Cyprus. However, no stocks were reported in 2010 (statistics Kym Anderson).
