Tannin index

Statistical measure or numerical ratio for the content of tannins in wines in order to be able to objectively name the intensity in wine evaluations. This index was determined by determining the phenols (polyphenols) in red wines by photometry. The seven-level scale ranges from 0.32 to 0.87 - over 0.36 is considered to be rich in tannins.
