Tannin index

Statistical measurement figure or numerical ratio for the tannin content in wines in order to be able to objectively specify the intensity in wine evaluations. This index was determined by determining the phenols (polyphenols) in red wines using photometry. The seven-point scale ranges from 0.32 to 0.87. Above 0.36 is considered high in tannins.
