The wine production and trading company "Tamborini Vini" in Lamone (near Lugano) in the Swiss canton of Ticino was founded in 1944 by Carlo Tamborini. Today it is managed by his son Claudio. The vineyards cover about 32 hectares in several estates. These are Tenuta Terre di Gudo (in Gudo), Tenuta Vallombrosa (in Castelrotto), Tenuta Sanzeno (in Lamone), Vigneto Ai Brughi (in Comano), Tenuta San Rocco (in Porza) and Tenuta San Domenico (in Neggio). The Tenuta Terre di Gudo is located in the Sopra Ceneri, while the other wineries are in the Luganese region. All wines are produced in the Lamone winery. The yield from our own property accounts for about half of the production, the rest is purchased from contract winegrowers.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
