The winery is located in the community of Röschitz in the west of the Lower Austrian wine growing region Weinviertel. The traditional family business has been involved in winegrowing for many generations. It is managed by Gerald Schneider, who, after completing his viticultural schooling in Krems and apprenticeships with other companies in Austria and abroad, now concentrates fully on his own wine production. The vineyards comprise nine hectares of vineyards in the Galgenberg, Hundspoint (in the picture), Königsberg and Reipersberg on loess and primary rock soils. They are planted to 80% with the leading variety Grüner Veltliner, as well as Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blan c. The winegrowing is consistently carried out in a natural, environmentally friendly manner, for example with green manure. Quality criteria are short pruning, intensive leaf care, yield reduction and high-quality, healthy grape material.
