Tärbinu

Valaisan German term for the wine-growing municipality of Visperterminen; see there.

Famous wine-growing community (also called Terminenon or Termenon, in Valaisian German Tärbinu) at the entrance of the front Vispertal in the Swiss canton of Valais. The name is of Latin origin and means "border (surroundings) of Visp". The village is first mentioned around 1199 as "Villa Termenuns" near Visp. The south-facing vineyards are divided into several areas and cover a total of 55 hectares of vines....
