Sutcliffe Serena

The British wine author Serena Sutcliffe M.W. (*1945) is regarded as a leading authority in the wine sector worldwide and is also a profound Weinkritiker. She is married to the wine author David Peppercorn David M.W., who, like her, holds the coveted title of Master of Wine. The two were the very first MW couple, she the second MW woman. Sutcliffe led the International Wine Department at the famous auction house Sotheby’s, conducted the globally held auctions, and was appointed Honorary Chairman of Sotheby’s Wine. She regularly writes for many international publications and is a frequent interview partner, lecturer, and knowledge provider in TV shows across Europe, the USA, and Asia. Her standard work “The Wines of Burgundy,” which describes 600 producers and their wines, was published in 2005 in its 8th edition.
