The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Black Fry x Dixieland. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2008, however, the parent variety is unknown. Genes from Vitis rotundifolia are present. The hybrid was crossed in 1969 in the USA by grower William G. Ison. It is a seedless, all-female grape variety, which is why it is dependent on cross-pollination. It is mainly used as table grape.
