Super Spaniard

This term was created in reference to the phenomenon of the Italian Super Tuscans. The origin of this term lies in the cult wines of the Marqués de Griñón winery, which before the DO classification could only be marketed as Vino de mesa (table wine). Later on, other outstanding Spanish table wines were also named in this way, which are equal to the wines classified as DO in terms of quality.
