The white grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Hasandede and Soungourlou. The parentage is unknown. It should not be confused with the Hasandede Beyazi (Sungurlu) or Kalecik Karasi varieties, despite seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological similarities. It is used as a wine grape. No stocks were recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
