The white grape variety (also Hasandede, Soungourlou) comes from Turkey. Its descent (parenthood) is unknown. It should not be confused with the varieties Hasandede Beyazi (Sungurlu) or Kalecik Karasi, despite the fact that they seem to have synonyms or morphological similarities. However, the variety is no longer of significance, no stock was reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
