The white grape variety is a new variety between Calmeria x Fresno P64-18 (Muscat d'Alexandrie x Sultana). Synonyms or breeding numbers are C 58-93, Fresno 58-93 and Sunmuscat. The cross was made in 1958 and the selection in 1961 in the USA by the breeder John H. Weinberger. The berries have a muscat tone. The vine is mainly used for the production of table grapes and sultanas. It is grown in Australia in the Murray Darling and Swan Hill areas. In 2016, a total of 23 hectares of vineyards were designated there (Kym Anderson statistics).
