Colloquial term for the dependence on alcohol (drunkenness). It is derived from "binge drinking" (excessive or excessive drinking). A "boozer" or "snifter" or is a drinker (alcoholic). A more trivialized form is "sniffing", which refers to "lustful drinking". See other terms under intoxication as well as under alcoholism. A wine that is fun to drink is called "smoky".
