The winery is located in the municipality of Ellerstadt (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. Sibylle and Reinhard Studier took over their parents' estate in 1995 after completing their studies. The vineyards cover about 28 hectares in the single vineyard sites Hofstück (Deidesheim), Bischofsgarten (Forst), as well as Bubeneck and Kirchenstück (Ellerstadt). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Auxerrois, Morio-Muskat and Müller-Thurgau, as well as with the red wine varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Dorsa, St. Laurent, Dunkelfelder and Cabernet Sauvignon. All activities in the cellar pursue the goal of preserving the primary fruit aromas in the wine in its purest form. The white wines are fermented in a controlled manner after a gentle pressing and sharp must pre-clarification and are vinified almost reductively. The red wines are matured in older barriques after mash fermentation, post maceration and biological acid reduction with the aim of soft tannin structures. The in-house catering service "Leib & Seele" hosts events such as weddings, company parties and birthdays on the estate and in the vaulted cellar.
