The winery is located in the municipality of Deutschkreutz in the Austrian DAC area of Mittelburgenland. The farm was built up after the Second World War by Josef and Theresia Strehn with the three pillars of arable farming, livestock breeding and viticulture. In the 1960s, they began to concentrate on viticulture. Since 1993, the estate has been managed by Monika Strehn. The quality criteria are careful vineyard work, late harvest, low yields per hectare and careful processing in the cellar. The Australian flying winemaker Michael Gadd contributed a great deal of know-how. Young winemaker Patrick J. W. Pfneisl is responsible for the vinification (after practical experience as a vintage winemaker in Californian and Australian top wineries).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
