The winery is located in the municipality of Ruppersthal in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. The traditional family has been cultivating vines here for several generations. Today, the winery is run by Thomas Stopfer. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the Kogelberg and Steinberg (Großweikersdorf) vineyards. 80% of the vineyards are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Rivaner and Gelber Muskateller, and 20% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly, natural way. This includes cover crop to regulate the water balance and the use of natural fertiliser. The majority of the wines are vinified in steel tanks and, depending on the desired wine typicity, are stored on the fine lees for three weeks to five months. The premium wines include the two white wines Grüner Veltliner Steinberg (spontaneously fermented) and Chardonnay Privat, both aged in 500-litre acacia barrels, as well as the red wine Cabernet Sauvignon Grande Reserve.
