Stillage

Designation for the "de-frozen" residue or "waste water" of a distillation. It contains all those components from the raw materials that have been mashed in(proteins, fats and minerals). However, carbohydrates that have been converted into alcohol are no longer present. The liquid residue is called thin stillage. In dried form, stillage is used as animal feed and fertiliser.
