The winery is located in the municipality of Statzendorf-Kuffern in the wine-growing region of Traisental(Lower Austria). It was founded in 1987 by Johann and Michaela Steyrer. In 2010, the estate was handed over to their son Bernhard Steyrer; in 2012, they moved into a new production building with a modern wine cellar. The vineyards cover 7 hectares of own vineyards in the Point, Rampl and Stoaried vineyards. Another 1.5 hectares are leased and grapes are purchased from 1.5 hectares. The white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling,Pinot Blanc and Gelber Muskateller are cultivated, as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Roesler. The vineyards are cultivated according to the environmentally friendly criteria of KIP (Controlled Integrated Production). Quality-enhancing measures include short pruning, targeted foliage care and yield-reducing thinning.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
