The Austrian wine expert and wine critic Professor Dr Rudolf Steurer (1924-2013) studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna. He is the author of widely acclaimed wine books with a total print run of over 250,000 copies and the author of numerous specialist articles. In particular, his "Wine Handbook", which has already appeared in several editions, has become a standard work for winegrowers and other specialists as well as wine lovers under the name "Der Steurer". Others include "European Wine Almanac" with co-author Dr Wolfgang Thomann and "World Wine Almanac" with co-authors Dr Josef Schuller (MW) and Dr Wolfgang Thomann.
