single vineyard in the municipality of Altschweier (Ortenau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The vineyards, which face west to southwest and have slopes of 30 to 75%, cover 70 hectares of vineyards on shallow granite weathered soils. The varieties grown here include Pinot Noir and Riesling. Shares in the site are held, for example, by the Axel Bauer and Fendt Weinfamilie wineries.
