The winery is located in the municipality of Stein-Bockenheim (Bingen area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. Since July 2015, the winery has been run by Christian and Diana Steitz. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Heerkretz (Neu-Bamberg) as well as Eichelberg and Goldenes Horn (Fürfeld), among others. The white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Silvaner are cultivated, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, St. Laurent and Dornfelder. The quality pyramid is divided into estate, local and site wines. The white wines are fermented spontaneously wherever possible and matured with long yeast storage. After maceration, the red wines mature for a long time in conventional wooden barrels (volume of 1,200 litres) or in barriques for the red single-vineyard wines, depending on the type of wine. Bottle-fermented vintner's sparkling wines are also produced.
