The winery is located in the community of Stein-Bockenheim (Bingen area) in the German wine growing region of Rheinhessen. Since July 2015 the winery has been managed by Christian and Diana Steitz. The vineyards comprise 15 hectares of vines, among others in the individual locations Heerkretz (Neu-Bamberg) as well as Eichelberg and Goldenes Horn (Fürfeld). The white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay,Pinot Blanc, PinotGris and Silvaner are cultivated, as well as the red wine varietiesPinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, St. Laurent and Dornfelder. The quality pyramid is divided into estate, local and site wines. The white wines are fermented spontaneously if possible and aged with long yeast aging. The red wines mature for a long time after maceration in conventional wooden barrels (volume of 1,200 l) or, in the case of the red site wines, in barriques, depending on the wine type. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
