Reed or vineyard site (also known as Steinmassel) in the wine town of Langenlois in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Kamptal. The name is derived from "Steinmeizel", which used to be the name of a quarry. The eastern part is also known as "Steinhaus", but is often referred to as an independent reed. The vineyards, which are oriented towards the south-south-east, in the shape of a cauldron, have mica-slate and gneiss primary rock soils. The Grüner Veltliner and Riesling are cultivated here in particular. The Bründlmayer Willi, Grillmaier, Loimer Fred, Rabl Rudolf, Sax Rudolf and Summerer wineries, for example, have shares in the vineyard.
